Gelsomini is a lovely farmhouse conveniently situated only 5 kms from the centre of Lucca. The house has been totally restored by the owners, both Italian architects, who used it until recently as their main home. They have successfully preserved the character of the old farmhouse with its antique cotto floors and beamed ceilings, and have furnished it very tastefully to a high standard.
A covered patio connects the huge sitting room (100 sq. meters) to the main house.
As the property is less than 4 kms away from the nearest motorway exit, it is a perfect base for exploring Tuscany, with Florence less than 50 minutes away, and Pisa and the beaches less than 20 minutes. A chef, heating and telephone available for an additional charge. There is deposit upon check-in of 250 Euros for the telephone. Extra maid service is 13 Euros per hour. All of these 'a la carte" services are paid locally with Euros and subject to change. This house sleeps up to 7 people. A two week stay is preferred, however the owner may accept one week at his discretion.
